“Boyfriends na filmon ki tarah hote hai … kuch time pass toh kuch blockbusters”
“Ek tarfa pyar ki taqat hi kuch aur hoti hai … auron ke rishton ki tarah yeh do logon mein nahi bat’ti … sirf mera haq hai ispe”
“Main kisi ki zaroorat nahi … khwaish banna chahti hoon”
Karan Johar is back with a vengeance, a “seasonal” director who once in a while feels it is the time to capture the terrible problems of the poor uber rich and present it to us mere mortals who crib always of life. But the problem of the movie is the characterization itself. I am sure the poor uber rich would object to them being depicted as morons !
Vienna is the new place, where Urdu shayari has found a new market and being promoted by a “Shayra” called Saba Khan, who is so drop dead gorgeous and looks as if she has just tumbled on to Urdu and keeps spouting Urdu couplets with a look in her eyes which reminds me of the hypnotising snake from Jungle Book !
Anyways.. there is no build up to the so called romance between Ranbir and Anushka, hence the movie falls flat at the very beginning itself… Ranbir is very…very.. barfi-sque, rockstar like, badtameez, confused kid who needs to wake up like sid did !
Anushka is perhaps the saving grace of the film but falters at times due to the directors flawed vision. Fawad Khan is there and not there – but when he is there, you notice his screen presence and his eyes speak volume [ Will I be thrashed now.. Oh God.. ]
Shahrukhs cameo is ok but it seems he forgot the FAN prosthetics on his face.
Pyar main junoon ho ya Dosti main sukoon.. playing musical “beds” is definitely not one of it..
